The Freedom Rechargable Flashlight

The Energistic Systems Freedom Light, Solar Rechargeable Flashlight was designed to provide light to people in the world who do not have any light after the sun goes down.  The solar rechargeable light was designed to make it possible for a family to have more activities in the evening, like schoolwork, family time and to provide longer work and business time for increased income.  The flashlight will provide light for 5 to 6 hours each night that is significantly superior to the candles and kerosene lanterns that are now available.  The candle and kerosene lanterns have significant health and environmental risks from the soot and fire danger.

The lantern is designed for a minimum 10 year life time without having to replace the LED or the batteries.  Because of the reliability and longevity, the flashlight is designed so it does not need to come apart.  The solar panel is an amorphous panel with an aluminum frame and a 20 year lifetime.  The batteries will maintain the light for over 20 hours without recharging, but recharging the batteries every day for three to five hours will maintain the state of charge and prolong the battery life.  As the battery voltage declines, the amount of light output will also gradually diminish.  This indicates the batteries need to be recharged.
